Crunchyroll Streams Your Name, JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, and More Anime Movies

Crunchyroll has announced that it will be streaming a wide selection of anime movies on its platform during its industry panel at Crunchyroll Expo 2022. Upcoming anime movies in August and September include:

August 11

  • Josée, the tiger and the fish by Bones and directed by Kotaro Tamura. The anime film won Anime Film of the Year at our 8th Anime Trending Awards.
  • Stranger by the sea by Studio Hibari and written and directed by Akiyo Ohashi
  • lost human by Polygon Pictures and directed by Fuminori Kizaki

August 18

  • AKIRA by TMS Entertainment and the original story and direction by Katsuhiro Otomo
  • your name by CoMix Wave Films and written and directed by Makoto Shinkai

August 25

  • Wolf children by Studio Chizu and the original story and direction by Mamoru Hosoda
  • The boy and the beast from Studio Chizu
  • Sing a little harmony by JC Staff and original story and direction by Yasuhiro Yoshiura

September 21:

  • JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 of the MAPPA. The film is based on the prequel manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami

Other films will be available including The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Afro Samurai: Resurrection, Stranger by the Shore, and animated films from Free!, Fairy Tail, PSYCHO-PASS, Code Geass, and black butler.
