At the Walt Disney Companies Asia-Pacific Showcase event, Disney announced that it is performing a reboot of the Japanese animated series “Black Rock Shooter”, titled “Black Rock Shooter Dawn Fall”.
Black Rock Shooter is a media franchise based on an illustration by huke, a world-famous Japanese illustrator, who spawned music, action figures, and a video game.
In this animated series, Black Rock Shooter is reborn as an all-new anime, with screenwriter Makoto Fukami best known for his work with Psycho-Pass and Resident Evil: Vendetta.
The original animated series was about two high school mates Mato Kuroi and Yomi Takanashi, who become friends – only to test it when it turns out they have avatars in an alternate reality and have to fight as Black Rock Shooter and Dead. Master.
No plot details have been released on “Black Rock Shooter Dawn Fall”.
This new series should be released on Disney + in the spring of 2022.

Disney + will be relaunched in Japan later this month, becoming accessible to everyone and will introduce general entertainment brand, Star, into the streaming service. Disney has announced that more than 50 projects are currently in the works in the Asia-Pacific region, which are expected to release in the next few years. Anime is an extremely popular form of entertainment and all of the different streaming services exploit this content to keep subscribers loyal. It wasn’t until recently that Disney released a collection of animated shorts inspired by Star Wars.
